The Dalai Lama Foundation (DLF) is an international organization dedicated to peace and ethics. It has been established by friends and students of His Holiness the Dalai Lama who wish to support his ideas and efforts for peace and the alleviation of human suffering. We are honored to have the endorsement and support of the Dalai Lama and his permission to use his name for the foundation.
We welcome all those who are inspired by the Dalai Lama's message of personal transformation and responsibility to join with us in this endeavor, and to contribute your talents and resources towards a better world.
Within the broad parameters of ethics and peace, which the Dalai Lama advocates beyond the confines of a particular religion or political dogma, we will work for a better world in specific areas such as disarmament, conflict resolution, human rights, interfaith dialog and humanitarian work.
We will also address issues closer to the Dalai Lama and his people such as the need for a resolution to the issue of Tibet, cooperating with the many effective Tibet support groups and developing new ways to work for the long-term benefit of Tibet.
